Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

It’s believable with all the speculation about the coach

Harry Grant’s a big man getting into a bloke that’s on his back…

Hunt is available for 800k but wants 2 year contract.

Liam Knight will be available for 620k, should we lose Haas.
Hard no on Knight for me... he can be overpaid by a Shitney club... bloke has barely played for 3yr and even then he was a 40mins special off the bench.

Dime a dozen prop

To replace Haas, assuming he leaves at the end of '24 - you'd have to go hard for Fotuaika surely. Or now that Souths are going to be under a lot of salary cap pressure, Koloamatangi?

Apart from Ben being a great way for finish his career as hooker for us - I can't see any dragons being a real target for us, they are a bit basketcase... we just got done with that shit.

Agree on Mo, but from Souths I don't think they let KK go... he is a gun forward for them moving forward.

On the other hand Jai Arrow is off contract at the end of 2024 as well. Would be 29/30 by 2025 and would be a very handy middle forward to have.

If Haas goes, given we've already lost Flegs and missed out on Kerr, both to The frustratingly, Arrow is the one I'm thinking too as one of our juniors. This is why we need to know one way or another this year, we can't be strung along and miss out on these other guys. Mo would be an amazing pick up too.

As for end of this season, I wouldn't be against bringing Bullemor back if he is willing to play a bench role which he may well not be willing to do if he stays as a starter at Manly. I guess we might be bringing in Fletcher Baker as well and while he obviously has upside and some experience, so he could be a money ball type signing we have done well with recently with the likes of Jensen and Taupau (I really hope we extend him).

If Haas leaves, I'd be looking at a mix of these guys to come in, probably in order of preference: Mo, Arrow, Tatola, Hopgood, Joffa (I just have a sense he might be gettable even for next season and would love to see him come back), Paseka, Ese'ese, Wallace, Molo

If Arrow is sick of Sydney we should absolutely be trying to sign him. Bloke is a massive talent, covers middle and edge.

I've actually been thinking more on this this morning in terms of Joffa. He must be frustrated at Wests and he is to good a player to not be in first grade, actually a symptom of all things wrong with that club. I reckon Wests would consider releasing him, he'd be a great pick up as a ready made middle whose best is origin level. Would be a fantastic money ball pick up and would be bringing one of our kids home.

He was invisible for the tigers. He was OK for us previously and has gone downhill...

I actually thought he was decent last year and everyone goes down hill at that club. He wouldn't be expensive if we could get him back, what's the risk really?
