He needs to improve, no question. He actually has a good kicking game, but the communication obviously needs work. I'm hoping this year they work on that.

Well, logic would tell you he was the other part of the catalyst for ONE amazing season. How many has Milford played at the Broncos again?

He also was the best player on the field in the GF.

Yeah from all reports Hunt is super competitive on the field, but a bit lazy. I think that shows that after 160 games of NRL and 7 years in the top grade, he still has one of, if not the worst, kicking games for a regular starting half in the comp. He has been signed since he was 12. Probably grew up with a sense of arrogance and never really put in the hard yards, Up until 2010 Cronk was only sometimes in the QLD team. He was the same age (roughly) as Hunt is now, but he buckled down further and perfected his game and is arguably the most professional player in the game in regards to training and diet habbits. I have no doubt that Hunt has more natural talent than Cronk, and many of the halves in the game, but he seems to lack the work ethic of the top flight players.
 
It has already been an exceedingly long off-season (I thought I would jump in with another glaringly obvious self-evident statement) :-)

He carried us for seasons? which seasons? 2013 when we finished 12th? 2014 when we came 8th? 2015 where Milford was better and he cost us the GF with 3 crucial mistakes in the last 5 minutes? or was it 2016 when he had about 1000 useless bombs? Hunt has never 'Carried' us for a season.
 
Very harsh stuff in here. Hunt sits alongside Boyd as the best in our entire squad at the moment

Well summarised actually.
I often wonder what would become of certain players, if they had the same work ethic as a guy like Cronk.

So what is your take on hunt , joe ? Is he the 7 to take us glory or should we look elsewhere?
